Pro Number | The pro number is the tracking number that is assigned to either an
entire shipment or to an individual package within a shipment. This number
is used by the carrier to trace shipments from pickup to delivery and is
often required for performing proofs of delivery (pod's). At T&B's
master distribution day/7 days per week...carriers frequently make several
pickups per day, but offer limited or no pickups on the weekends. The carrier
will not be able to acknowledge pickup until they have picked up the trailer,
taken it to their local terminal and logged the manifest into their computer
system for tracking purposes.
contact your local sales representative if you need assistance in tracing a shipment as you may need the bill of lading to reconcile a shipping discrepancy. Parcel and even LTL shipments can get separated with the material arriving on different days...after waiting a day or two, a pod can help trace the missing material. Advise your T&B sales representative if immediate replacement material is required. If you have a lost or miss-loaded shipment that the carrier cannot locate, contact the T&B traffic department at 901 682-8221 x2798 for assistance. |
